So, I guess I will be joining this forum from the TTC one. Because I woke up to this this morning:

I wasn't completely sure, and didn't know how to invert the photo, so I started playing with the filters and it looked like this:

I finally ran out and bought a FRER to be sure as I know EPT can give false positives or that it could have been an evaporation line. Plus, I was told that the pink dye in FRER works better than the blue ones for some reason and might show a stronger/darker line.... And so this is the result!....

Even though this was completely unplanned and unexpected, the timing is all wrong, and the poor thing is going to be a Christmas baby, I am so happy! I am really hoping that this one sticks! I have had recurrent miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy so I know it's too soon to tell what will happen but I'm really hoping not to have to go through all of that EVER again! This would be, and is, an absolute blessing. I only had the one tube left and then I was diagnosed a few months ago with PCOS and told that my chances of conceiving were slim since the working side was so affected. It's going to be a rough few months getting through the first trimester without any bumps along the way and having to hold this in and not tell anyone until we are in the clear. Hopefully I can get an appointment ASAP with my OBGYN and start the process. I guess I'm going to be considered a high-risk pregnancy due to my history.
I am also looking for a new doctor because I'm not a fan of the group I go to or the hospital they are affiliated with. In fact the hospital is the one that almost killed me by misdiagnosing me and dismissing me 9 times when I had the ectopic. And it wasn't until it ruptured and another hospital found it that I was saved. As I said though, I lost the tube and decreased my chances of ever having another one. So, yeah I want nothing to do with that facility. Any tips on how to find a good doctor associated with your hospital of choice? In my case, I am looking at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ (In case any of you are familiar and are from around here). I don't even know the first place to start looking. I know I want that hospital because it's where I was born and I know they have an amazing birthing center. But I also want a doctor I can trust with my and my baby's life.
I am going to need a c-section because of my back and pelvic conditions and have known this since I was 14 years old. I'm also 31 now and have not had a child yet so I'm not sure if that will have any effect on everything. I definitely need to find someone excellent that also takes my insurance. I also have been on vicodin for years because of this chronic condition that causes me a lot of pain, and no procedures have worked for it (I've had a lot done). So I need a doctor who can understand my situation and not judge me for needing the medication and be supportive in helping me wean off of them. God forbid I withdraw and stress my body to the point of miscarriage!! I also don't want a candy-man doctor who just says to keep taking them and does nothing to help me not need them anymore. I know my body HAS to have some dependence by now because it's been 5 years. I can go a bit without them when I run out but I don't want to chance it and hurt the baby in any way (by taking them or by stopping) so I need an expert to help me through this.
Wish me luck, ladies!! Here's hoping I finally get to stay on this and other pregnancy boards and not have to go back to TTC.
