I really want to get DS2 a wooden kitchen for his 2nd birthday.

I had my heart set on one from ELC in either blue or red but seems they've stopped selling it so unless I find one on eBay/gumtree in the next few weeks I need another one!!

Can anyone recommend me one?

I've looked at the ikea one and think that will be my next choice if I can't get this.

We have the ikea one and I think it is brilliant. And the price is awesome compared to other ones. The quality is good and everyone who has seen it has said how brilliant it is. And my lo loves it!

I've got the red ELC one and love it, but I've seen the Ikea one and I'd definitely get that if I didn't already have one. It's really good value for money, the hob lights up!

I very nearly went with the Ikea kitchen, but I went with this John Lewis one instead. LO loves it, and is very well built.

I bought the ikea one and painted it, used silver, pinks and purples, and now have spot lights inside the doors. It's wicked!

He ikea one comes with bits to put on the bottom of the legs so that u can adjust the height. My 3 all love it and spend their days making me soup and tea on it lol Great little kitchen

We bought Megan the Ikea kitchen Christmas 2012 and she still loves it and plays with it for hours! Well worth the money!!

Is the ikea one a decent size?

Yeah its definitely a good size. There are two cupboards with loads of storage space and two little shelves. And like a pp said you can increase the height as your lo gets older.

I think the fact its so open to customisation is fab

My sister customised ours using off cuts of fabric,a pink paint tester pot for 99p, some battery operated likes from the pound shop and wallpaper samples

eeee its so girly cupcakey! love it! I still need to touch bits up and varnish ours, Alex decided she liked painting one evening :dohh:

I have this one. I like that the washing machine is at the back so it's quite a small footprint
