trace protein and headaches...advice pls

Ok so as a nurse job perks include beig able to test my urine if I need too...so today after few days of gettig headaches I decided to test and on botb occasions it was trace positive for protein, and im still having horrid headaches that require painkillers...silly q maybe but what should I do now? Iv tested at work b4 and gone to hosp to b checked and theyve said that when they tested my urine was normal and im worried that will happen again, it made me feel really awkward...so what should I do now people?

I dont know whether to ring triage out of hours mw or not?As the headaches go after paracetamol and iv no swelling only a tiny bit on my ankles but im on my feet all day so thats normal for me lol xxxx

iv had trace protein and othr symptoms for 6 weeks now and its not even looked into. i think it needs to be +3 in most cases bfore they start to look into it but may be different with every clinic? it gets on my nerves as i have high bp and headaches, then she found the protein in my urine and just didn't mention it. only found out when i looked in my notes! x

Go to your midwife or doctor tomorrow & have your blood pressure checked.

I've been having + protein and high blood pressure the last few appointments I had but still no sign of pre-e. I am getting monitored for it though. However, I was told by the doctor that your levels of everything, including protein, go up during pregnancy and it's not necessarily anything to worry about if this is the case BUT I would suggest getting blood pressure checked. If it's high, then is the time to start worrying but I would also told that trace levels of protein aren't really enough to indicate a problem. It's usually when they are classed as high.

I also forgot to mention that it could be a simple water infection, in which case could also cause a fever and headaches. But mention it to your caregiver/ gp/ midwife just in case

Yeh i wondered also whether it was a uti....if i start being sick then there is my tell tale sign lol!!! Xxxx

Have them do a 24 hour urine that will give you a good baseline of what is going on I have mild pre eclamsia and its being monitored. Also have them do bp. GL
