Hey Ladies,

Just have a question for all of you....

I had a transvaginal ultrasound today to check my follicles. The dr. realized that I'm just about ready to ovulate. So, he told me to BD tonight and tomorrow. He was right cause I got a +OPK this afternoon. Anyhow, I just DTD with the hubby and realized that during the u/s they used a lubricant.

Now, my question is, will that lubricant still be in me 12 hours after the u/s and does it kill sperm?

I think it does :( Do you know the brand? If so google it, but I read somewhere that ultrasound gel does kill sperm. Hopefully it will be out of there before you ovulate. If you have to go again bring some preseed to use instead. :)

I just got my preseed today, and was reading on the box that it is sometimes used for internal ultrasounds and things like that. So maybe (hopefully!!) they used a sperm-friendly lube??

Good luck!! :dust:

KY jelly kills sperm and that's what they usually use during a trans-vaginal sonogram. :( But, try not worry about it.

So, I went back to my dr today to for another ultrasound and I found out that they put gel on first and then a condom over the gel. So, I'm ok!!

Thanks for the advice and support!
