Hello ladies,

So i've been having a few symptoms over the last few weeks that seem to point to a stomach ulcer. I'm hoping to see my doctor this week but thought i'd do a bit of googling before. I think i'll be prescribed some antibiotics and hopefully have some tests to confirm an ulcer. I'm allergic to penicillin so not sure which antibiotics i'll be prescribed and if these are compatible with nursing.

Anyone had any experience of this?

My LO is 4 months, i'd rather wait until he's weaned (fingers crossed for + 12 months) before treating this, but ulcers don't appear to be something you should leave untreated. Again, anyone had an experience with untreated ulcers?

thanks!

There are breastfeeding friendly treatments.
See link for NHS website (scroll down to see little paragraph on breastfeeding)
