I had an US at CD13 that showed a follicle on the left side at 13mm and nothing on the right side that was worth measuring. Then at CD16, I went back and the one on the left side was not there, but one on the right side had become 19mm w/o starting any meds. So, my Dr gave me the hcg trigger shot and told us when to BD, but he didn't do any follow-up up labs or US to confirm I did actually ovulate and now the :witch: got me this am. He wants to do the same thing this again this month. Should I ask for a follow-up? I would like to know if I did actually ovulate from that follicle.

If you have the HCG trigger shot then you should Ovulate and therefore no need for a follow up. Ovulation should occur about 36-40 hours after the shot. My FS scan me and then gave me the trigger shot, and then I dont need to see her again until either a bfp or cd 13/14 of my next cycle.

Thanks, ald. The Dr wanted me to call the office either when I got the :witch: or a :bfp: I actually got my :witch: a day early. They want me to come in on CD12. I am not sure why so early because we didn't see a good follicle last month until CD16. Anyway, just gonna do what the Dr says I guess.

good luck this cycle. I have no experience with the trigger shot, but I would probably ask for a 21 day progesterone test to confirm???

I think it is because even though last month a good follicle was CD 16, this month it may be earlier and therefore they don't want to miss it. It is better to have you in a few times for scans and watch the follicle grow to the right size, then leaving it to late.

Last month I went in on CD 11, then back on CD 15 for the shot. This month I need to go in on CD 13/14 and I fully expect to be going back on CD 15 as well xxx

I go back next week for US and possible hcg shot. I already have that "gut" feeling that it's going to be a waste of time and money again. Maybe not; it's just easier to not get my hopes up, just to be let down.
