just a thought, i was wondering if there is such thing as taking too much unnecessary stuff to conceive?

i mean, charting and OPKs and softcups and such are kinda normal and won't do much harm, but I've seen so many posts in which some people actually take "harmful substances", harmful as in they are banned over here and harmful as in "toxic" when taken daily over a long term.
I asked my ob-gyn about "fertility" supplements before ttc cause i read about so many things over here - Macca powders, high dosage vitamin Bs and other chemicals and he did explicitly warned me not to buy anything like that over the internet, anyway the pharmacies here won't sell such stuff. He said the only thing i need to take was folic acid because of the spina thing. else, he has seen patients taking high-dosage of vitamin a and D and B (which is all toxic) along with their prenatals and some even ended up with jaundice and hepatitis, which is an effect cause by liver damage. i showed him a pack of prenatals I got over the internet with 900micgrograms of vitamin a and 50mg of vitamin d and he tells me not to take it.

so i was thinking - is it possible that someone takes too much chemicals that their body is so busy trying to discard the toxins and can't get pregnant due to that fact?
how do you know how much is good for you?

Good point! I've gone back to just taking folic acid. I was taking fertilaid but after doing some good in the first couple of months they started to completely muck my cycle up.

It's just folic acid for me from now on!

Well the month I forgot about TTC, I got pregnant :)
I didn't even realise when AF was due.

very gud point, i was taking pregna care (trying to conceive) and i got told by my doc to stop taking them cuz there was too much vitaminB in my body, my urine was bright floresant yellow!!

I just got told to take folic acid and carry on eating healthy ( which i do anyways) xxxx
