Today is 9/30, I had my nexplanon removed on 9/19.
I had it in for about a year and only had one 'period' throughout that entire time (some slight bleeding but not a flow).
Well..after scheduling to have it removed (about a month ahead of time) AF came to visit. 26 days later, the implant was removed and 2 days after, AF came back. I have been on some sort of birth control for 10 years (since a very young age due to medical reasons) and I've never been regular. I can't say for sure, obviously, but I'm taking these past 2 cycles as a sign that somewhere, someone is ready for me to have the baby I've been wanting! My husband and I've been waiting to get settled and to make sure we can handle an addition to our family. We are now TTC.
Since I haven't had a period in a while, we are kind of just playing along like this is a regular cycle and will continue to be regular. This is my first time without any birthcontrol. Because we want to make sure to conceive, I've been taking an ovulation test since Day 5 (in case it is not a regular cycle). I started doing 2 a day yesterday and each test line is getting progressively darker (not 'dark', still faint but darker than the absent line the first test!).
I know others have been trying for so much longer but wish us luck on our journey!
