TTC#1 at 41 - egg donation query

Hi

I am TTC #1 and I am 41 (my other half is 49 with an 8 year old daughter), and we are talking about IVF as we aren't having much luck at the moment. While reading up on the subject I started to look at using egg doners.

Is there anyone out there that I can talk to about the pros andcons of this, the emotions and pitfalls of it all?

Hope someone can help me?

Hi Mrs Brooks, I am currently going through the process of becoming an egg sharer as myself and my husband require icsi to have another child. We have a gorgeous 5 yr old son already. I have had all tests done and are all fine, amh level of 21.1, been told thats good!

Consultant rang me Friday and said I have an inverted chromosome so shes writing to genetic specialist to hopefully get confirmation that this will not cause any problems in egg sharing etc. I have no knowledge of this or any family genetic disorders so must just be one of those things. But hearing that this may scupper our chances has been upsetting.

Any thing you can tell me about this would be fab if you know any info....xx
