TTC#1 - Have you bought anything for a "future" baby?

So I admit I did buy a crib...but like other TTCer's that bought something "big" it was exactly what I wanted, and a hell of a bargain...so anyway I bought a crib...DH kind of shrugged it off and we slid it under the bed so we don't have to look at it...other than that I 've bought quite a few outfits/toys/books that were in great shape at second hand shops (I'm talking $1 for onsesies with tags still on em) I limited myself to one plastic tub (I'll beit a large tub :)) I have mostly gender neutral/boy clothes with the exception of a few girlie outfits that were too amazing to not get...everyone I know is either preggers or trying so if we really can't get pg I have lots of ppl to gift too...which I don't think is bad luck...I would totally post pics if I were at home :P DH doesn't mind since he knows it makes me feel better and he picked out a set for his friend (expecting in September - black and says noob - they are both gamers) and a take home onesie for us :) orange with a pelican on it - we're quirky like that :)

Thanks for the bump, PDubs

OH and I bought a white onesie this weekend :happydance:

He keeps telling me to be positive so I made him go in the baby section with me and told him he has to look at us buying something as positive too....like our little good luck charm! We agreed on the onesie and had a fun time together looking at all the baby stuff. :cloud9:

I have probably close to 100 outfits, some diapers, a vibrating pooh seat, a snuggler, a tigger floor playtoy..I have a closet full of crap for my baby.. boys and girls stuff! :) LOL

I bought two really cute baby-gro's as a sort of "reminder of hope" thing :)

Glad that all these things are helping us keep the hope and positive vibes going :)

I work at Gymboree so I have a lot of clothes.
Like, a lot.
It's really embarrassing but my Hubbs just shakes his head when I come home from work with another bag.
I can't help it when it's such a good deal!!

Omg! I would just go crazy if I worked somewhere with baby stuff! Discounts! Lmao

I've been thinking about getting/making some type of keepsake box so I can have somewhere to keep the things I buy.

I haven't had the urge to buy anything although browsing restoration hardware inspiration baby rooms is my guilty pleasure. My mom bought us a baby outfit with a mustache on it and showed it to the family when we were all hanging out- embarrassing my hubby to all end. It's been a BFN for 6 months and I have a feeling it's not going to be easy to conceive so I don't want to buy and get my hopes up.

Omg PDub- lol my hubby would love the NOOB outfit lol haha I'm sure he would get it in a second if he saw it!

I sooooo wanted to keep it for us...we're such nerds, and DH is a total gamer haha...if only I could find a creeper onesie :)

I bought one item. A snowsuit that is brown and fuzzy and has bear ears on the hood. :) it was on clearance and I was afraid they wouldn't have it by the time I conceived.

There's a tradition in my DH's family of giving the kids a new Christmas ornament every year, so I bought an ornament with the girl's name we want to use.

We still haven't come up with a boy's name yet that we both like but my husband is convinced that we'll only have girls so we'll have to see. lol.:haha:

Oh that sounds so cuuuute! And would be perfect for us because we call each other momma and papa bear already  I'm going to have to look for that suit! lol...just realized we live in Hawaii!! When would we use it :haha: But we can use it for pics!

In my fam it's good luck to keep something for the new baby under your bed. :)

Sorry for the double post...But the only thing I bought was a little bunny ears hat. So silly. i have it next to the bed. :D

I still have "for the baby" stuff though...like this vintage rocking horse I had as a kid that I refinished, and a dollhouse I also had as a kid (that's in terrible shape) I'm still working on in case we have a girl.

I used to have my bag of baby clothes under the bed, but we rearranged and now the crib is under the bed...hoping your family luck works for us!

I have my old rocking horse that my grandpa made me, that I've refinished :)
