Look at fertilityfriend.com, they have charting instructions which are great. When you take your temp first thing in the morning, you will see that in a normal chart there will be an obvious rise in temp the day you ovulate, and the temp will stay elevated until your period, when it will drop. If you are pregnant this drop will not occur.
From ovulation to period is your luteal phase. I think they consider a "normal" phase length to be 10 -16 days, but for each women it can be different and should not change (too much) from month to month.
