Hi every1 I'm ttc as well on metformin but also provera for my periods. I'm 23 and I was diagnosed with pcos. Last june. I was givn provera to jumpstart my period then start metformin just 2mths ago. My cycles are usually 35 days with provera but now that I'm taking the metformin last mth was a 28 day cycle! So excited for that. I'm overweight so I'm tryna lose sum pds so the meds will work even better. I was prescribed clomid, tried it for 2mths and decided to jus wait till most of the weight is off. Good luck to every1
Oh that's great news about the 28 day cycle!! Are you able to ovlulate on your own? I start Provera next week, but I've been on Metformin 1,000 mg since October. However,I was also on b/c pills, so I don't know if Metformin will help with anything yet. I am 2 days late, but maybe I'll have a 35 day cycle, or sometimes b/c pills can mess with you as well. I am overweight as well and found out I am insulin resistant. This is my last chance until injectibles (I took Clomid about 2 years ago with no result). However, I've been doing research and a lot of women with PCOS is Clomid resistant, I don't know if you ever talked to your dr about that? What I mean is a lot of PCOSers had to be put on Metformin 3-6 months before Clomid even worked because of their insulin levels etc. Fingers crossed for you!!
Idk if I ovulated cus I'm haven't started using the opk's yet. And I didn't kno about the clomid resistant that actually makes alota sense.
I hope u and ever1 else get there bfp's.
