I am Ttc #1 with clomid. I am currently 4dpo on cycle two. I have ovulated both cycles I have used it but timing has been off last cycle and this cycle. I am already showing signs of af. I hope next cycle works. Anyone else ttc #1 with Clomid?

Cycle 1 O day was CD 19
Cycle 2 O day was CD 18

I tried last cycle with clomid, I ovulate like clockwork but my husband has very low motility so my doctor thought having more eggs to chose from might help, unfortunately no luck :-(

I stopped ovulating after my miscarriage in December. The clomid works I ovulate now but timing of the bd has been off both cycles. I missed it by 1-2 days last cycle and it is the same this cycle. I am just waiting for af to show up in 10 days.

My clomid hasnt worked so far, i'm on cycle 2 of 50mg. I need it to shorten my cycle and make sure i ovulate, but as you can see on my chart Im on CD23 and still no rise. argh. I am increasing it to 100mg next month.

Isnt it a nightmare when you miss time ovulation and BDing!

Hi ladies, i thought i would pop in. Im due to start my first medicated cycle soon. I have PCOS, was finally diagnosed last year after telling them for years!!
I am in a dilemma at the moment im not sure whether to wait until AF shows or use provera as im cd26 now and no sign of ovulation. Im anxious to start Clomid. Im trying to stay positive and hope I'm one of the 30-40% that achieve a pregnancy within the first 6 months.

Emilie, sorry to hear about your miscarriage, your signature shows a few miscarriages. Are you being treated for that?

Any advice on clomid will be welcome :)

Yes I am being treated for the miscarriages. I am on 50mg of Clomid and I ovulate thankful I just haven't gotten the timing right. My doctor had me take proved a when I took it in between cd35-40 after I took a pregnancy test. But each doctor is different. I take my Clomid at bedtime it helps with the side effects to take it late and take it at the same time everyday.

I'm so sorry for ur loss :-( my m/c was dec 2014. It was truly heartbreaking.
Since ur on clomid I'm assuming u have a fertility doc? R u doing monitored cycles? If not, u should consider it... That's what I do and it takes all of the guess work out of the question in terms of timing things. They monitor ur lh through blood work, and ur eggs through ultrasound. It has made things so much less stressful for me

My insurance won't cover monitored until 3 failed clomid cycles. But I know my body so there wasn't any guessing to it so I am not really stressed it is just my boyfriends work schedule doesn't always work out for us lol. But I can't complain about my insurance to much I have no deductibles and no out of pocket cost. They will even pay for 6 iui's and 2 ivf cycles. I just have to follow the steps and rules they have for me.

Your signature says you use a sperm donor?

Yeah I haven't changed it since I been back on. He was a friend donating sperm but one thing lead to another and we are dating now.

Oh wow! How great that ur insurance covers those things once u have gone through all the steps! I feel like all insurances should, however most dont. It's terrible. Wishing u luck and lots of baby dust :)

I am about to start my second cycle on clomid for TTC#1. My first cycle was with clomid and follistim injections. I did 100mg of clomid during my first cycle and 50mg of follistim. It is a learning experience for sure. My first cycle I lurked many forums and many were old threads. Does anyone temp or use the OPK? I am thinking about starting to temp tomorrow. However, I wonder if it going to be too much.

I don't temp because I don't sleep well enough to get an accurate temp. I use opks but you if you start them too early you will get false positives. I start mine 5 days after the last pill. My first month I started 3 days but I was getting false positives until 5 so this months I started 5 days after the last pill.

For the most part I sleep well enough. More so, since I started clomid and follistim. I read about the false positives on the opk's. It is something to consider. I just wondered if it is possible I O'ed later than expected after the tigger shot. That is a question for my FS. That is why I was considering temping or opk's. Thank you! :winkwink:

Hello!

The cycle I did Clomid and Follistim and a trigger I temped but didn't use opks. Instead, my doc told me exactly when to make sure to BD. It worked and we got pregnant! Sadly, it ended in a miscarriage but it was great to know that formula worked for us.

hey gals dropping in, this is my first cycle of clomid and using progesterone. I forgot about it throwing off opk's, i wonder if it will with my monitor. Trying not to put too much hope into it this cycle sense I'm sure 1st round getting a bfp isn't as likely lol

It will with you monitor unless your monitor has the option of putting in that your are on clomid and progesterone. I wouldn't use it until 3-5 days after the last pill.

Aw emillie thats cute that your now dating :)

Good luck everyone x

maybe i'll just stick to wondfo's this month then. Thanks for the monitor tip Emilie. does he still live so far away from you?

So far no side effects from the clomid so that's nice.
