TTC #2 question

How long after #1 did you decide to start TTC #2... And by TTC I mean seeking professional help (RE)? Our Ob told us we couldn't consult our RE until #1 was at least 8m.

I agree with your doctor that that's way early to be seeking help. The best fertility specialist here won't try to help you until you have been trying unsuccessfully for a year unless he helped you conceive the prior one with IUIs/etc.
