Hi

I had my 2nd mc this week (my 1st was 6 weeks ago) so taking a little break for now just to give my body a chance to fully recover.

I wondered if any of you ladies had suffered 2 miscarriages but gone on to have a healthy pregnancy.

Just looking for some encouragement.

no Ive only had one, but I hear its possible, good luck to you :hugs::hugs: xx

yes!! i had two miscarrages, the first was a missed miscarrage at 9 weeks
and the second was at 7 weeks, i was very pesimistic, but now i have i healthy two yr old boy and am expecting my second baby! so i am proof it deffinatly can happen hun, keep trying i'm sure u will be fine, wishing you luck xx

I had a miscarriage this week. I've heard that 2 miscarriages can still be considered random and its not until you have 3 or more that they start to investigate possible reasons. I'm really sorry to hear about your second loss. xx

I have had one but I have heard of other people having more then going on to have a healthy baby. Its just one of those things that with every pregnancy there is that risk. Try to remain positive I know it must be hard but in years to come we can thing back about this website whilst our teenage monsters are banging around the house moaning

I am so sorry to hear about your losses. Take care of yourself hun. :hugs:

Hi hun so sorry for your losses :hugs: I have had 2 miscarriages in a row (both within the last 8 months) i am told 1 in 36 woman do just by chance and for no specific reason, I lost both at 6 weeks, I am currently nearly 8 weeks with my third attempt so fingers crossed this one will be ok, got a scan on wednesday to check on my progress, giving yourself time to recover is a good idea until you feel ready but dont give up, it will happen eventually xxxx

I lost my 1st two children shortly after they were born prematurely (seperate occasions, not twins)....I thought I was destined never to have kids but now have 3 healthy kids and another baby on the way....although I've also had 2 miscarriages in between:cry:

Oops, thought I'd hit preview on my last post.

I hadn't said good luck to you:dohh:

Hope you get a happy ending next time babe:hugs::hugs::hugs::hug:

Hi sweetie

Just to let you know I gatecrashed the "Pregnant - 1st Trimester" forum to ask a similar question and got quite a few replies from people with healthy pregnancies after 1 or more miscarriages. Made me feel much more positive!

I've also read that 1 or 2 mcs makes virtually no difference to your chances of conceiving so try not to worry.

Good luck with TTC!

I have just had my third miscarriage. Had 1 child 11 years ago fine no problems.....2 m/c a year later one after the other at 4 and 6 weeks. Just had another 2 weeks ago at 10 weeks. Desperately want to have another child so I really do pray that it is possible.

Good luck to us all.xx

Hey cerilou, so sorry to hear this hun, I did see you a few times in 1st Tri. Dont give up hope babe, there are lots of women on here who have had successful pgs after several mcs. Thinking of you.

Hi there
I am a recurrent missed miscarriage patient i have not had a baby and have no children
but still not giving up hope!!

After many tests and all normal and being under a hospital for 12 years that told me there is nothing to say i wont go on to have a child, I have gone under another hospital
for a second opinon under a lady called lesely regan who has helped 80% of ladies who has had 5 and even 9 missed miscarraiges to have a child

I belive there is hope and there is living proof that many ladies have gone on to have more than 1 child after a few miscarraiges

Good luck for the future hun
xx

Hey girls, speaking of Leslie Regan - Have any of you read her book - Miscarriage: What every woman needs to know? I am reading it upon recommendation from nurse in EPAU after my 3rd mc recently and its worth a read. She seems to know her stuff and to honest, one thing that stands out (hoping it goes this way for you Angeldust) she seems to have a little more thought for the feelings you have over some doctors who seem to brush it off as one of those things. Good luck Angeldust - I hope she can find you some answers - sounds like you are in extremely capable hands!

Cerilou, you might want to get the book as I have found it very insightful - explained a lot more about what can happen and what they can do for you! I got mine on Amazon for about £6 from a lady in Caldicot.

Hi Chrissie 33
I really hope she can do somthing for me for some reason because i have heard so much about lesely that she has helped others .........etc
I have started to belive she will help me to have a baby if i am under lesley regan
but now because i feel so positive , i am gonna be let down and brought back down to earth with a bang......

I just cant bare being told thesa results what i dont want to be told is everything is fine all is normal ....

Weird to want to be told somthing is wrong but when all is normal then there is nothing they can give you to make sure all will be ok cause they dont know whats wrong with you .

So i want them to say we found this or that so they can treat it
and the day they say we know the cause go away and get pregnant
and we will make sure you dont lose another well thats the day a huge
weight is lifted off my shoulders and i feel on cloud :cloud9:

I seen another doctor on my 1st apointment so it will be lesley i see for the first time on the 4th november so i am really nerves

Wish me lots of luck for thesa results girls  :hugs:

xx

Hey Angeldust, I know exactly what you mean - I have had first lot of bloods done and they said all is normal except some issue with the clotting test so I am hoping they can say, 'x' is the issue, here is how to fix it - off you go and try again..... Will keep everything crossed for us both and any other ladies going through this.

Cerilou, sorry for going off on a tangent on your post x
