ttc after a lap and dye???

hi...have posted this in ttc forum too but maybe more lttc ladies may know this....

i saw my surgeon today and he says his next surgery date is 2nd feb...got to phone his secretary 1st thing in the morning to confirm the date is ok...im due to ovulate 6 days after and i really dont know what to do. will i be ok to dtd only 6 days after?? will i be bleeding still? will it mess up my cycle and make af arrive early/late? will it make me ovulate earlier or later than normal?? im due to start cycle 4 of clomid on 25th/26th jan and wondering whether i shouldnt take clomid this cycle, dont wanna waste the clomid if im not going to be up to dtd!!...

how long were you in pain for after the lap and dye? eg were you able to move around and walk fine a week after??? we are due to go to disneyland paris for a long weekend on the 12th feb....worried the op will effect our stay there

Go for the Lap & Dye!!! I got pregnant pratically days after mine ) I dont know anything about taking clomid and stuff so cant give advice on that. When i had my lap and dye i was in quite a bit of pain for a few days after, but they did have problems in surgery with getting the camera in or something so im guessing that they probably wasnt the most kind handed and "tugged" me about!! The pain was pleasent, but only really hurt when you would be sat down and try to get up or something like if you had pulled your tummy muscles badly and i also got an infection so taht probaly didnt help!! With both of my Laps I was already bleeding because of ectopic but I had stopped soon after the Laps within a day or two. My schedule stayed the same as far as ovulating and so on. I think alot depends on what they find and what they have to do. If it is a standard Lap/dye with nothing else then you may be able to dtd after 6 days. If further stuff is done such as removing scar tissue then you may not feel as great and recovery may take longer. The first standard one that I had I was up and moving in 3 days. The second one where my tube was removed took about 5 days to recover. Hope all works out fine and enjoy your trip to disneyland.

hi...you say you fell preg after just a few days after lap...can you remember how many days it was that you 1st dtd? x

I was due on with in a few days of mine and it did make me late by a week or so. But thats just me. I only had the lap and dye. Nothing else was done. i was in a lot of pain for the 1st week but not to bad the 2nd week. I didint bleed after at all.

I cant actually remember but i think it must of been about 3days after, I couldnt beleive it cause i didnt enjoy it at all as i was in pain, but it worked! I had my op on the 25th Sep i think and got BFP on oct 23rd! So it must of been pratically straight after! I had a bit of blood the day after op which i put down 2 the op but the nurse at the EPU said it was probably just my period even thought it only lasted a couple of days! I panicked at first that maybe i was pregnant when i had the Lap & Dye but they said that they doubted it, but who knows with the NHS!!!!x

i would def go for a lap and dye. i could not move for a good week but i did have a bit of surgery. i suppose you should go with how you feel. ask the surgeon as some people say you should not bd for that month to avoid infection. Others say different things

my doc says you can BD as soon as you feel better and I had lots of work done. believe me i couldnt BD for at least 8 days........ he actually laughed as its the first thing i asked him when he checked up after the procedure. they must hear it all them time lol

had lap late on thursday and I wasn't told not to bd! Dh is not really keen on it ....

If and only if I still have one tube left and don't get really bad news from the lap - I would like to try right away too! hmmmmmmmmmmm fxd
