TTC age 38

Hi All!!

My DH and I have been tcc for 3 years now, some successes but never the sticky bean we are hoping for, I am only 3DPO on our first month using CBFM and as usual I'm symptom spotting like crazy, I know it's too early but just can't help myself.
Is there anyone out there enduring the TWW in the same boat as me who wants to buddy up?? I am due to test on 16th March (if I hold out that long!)
By the way, I am lucky enough to have had 3 problem free pregnancies, in the past the last one was my DS in november 2001. All tests have come back "Fine" so we're kinda in limbo here as to why it's not happening for us.

I am either 3 or 4 dpo, been using cbfm again this month after leaving it for a while and just charting temps. But the thermometer bleeping in the morning was driving my hubby mad, so have stopped using it!

We have a beautiful daughter who will be two in May, and we conceived again last May but sadly lost the baby during the summer. Have been busy trying ever since but with no luck. Both previous pregnancies happened really quickly - like 1 or 2 months of trying - which was so lucky, but now nothing! I'll be turning 39 in May this year and so badly want to be pregnant again by then.

Went to see my doc last week but she said just to forget all the testing, temping etc and relax and it will happen ..... come back in july if it hasn't. So, the waiting continues .... and i;m feeling in proper limbo as don;t know whether to apply for jobs as have taken 2 years off to raise little one, but am feeling like i need to do something other than just sit here waiting to get preggers again ... its driving me nuts!

Hi. I am 36 and TTC #3. We started trying 15 months ago. We conceived last May but had a missed m/c at 8 weeks. We started trying again right away. I am now with an infertility specialist and have gone through all the test and my DH has gone through SA test. Everything looks good so we were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility". I had my first IUI last Friday and I am officially in the 2WW, 3DPO. (I am not supposed to count Friday right? If so then I am 4DPO.) I plan on testing on the 16th also, if I can hold out that long. I usually make it to 10dpo and then I POAS every day from that day till AF comes. I also am driving myself absolutely insane trying to access every little feeling I have. My mind is going 90 miles an hour thinking about nothing but this and I am Googling everything I can think of to Google. I feel rather obsessive and I am happy to share with you guys but don't want to share with anyone close to me. I'm afraid they will think I am nuts, including my DH.

Well it is very nice to chat with others that are right around the same day in their cycle! I wish you guys patience and piece of mind and lots of baby dust! Take care ladies.

Hey Ladies,im 36 and trying ttc #3. I had 2 m/c after DD1 and then went on to conceive DD2 with no problems,this was nearly 9yrs ago and hoping im not too late to start again

I know what you mean about everyone thinking ur mad, my DH has done all the tests and everything came back better than fine... infact even the FS had a little smile to herself, DH is producing Super-Sperm, but then he's only just turned 31 therefore I'm convinced the problem is with me therefore I spend more time on here reading up and googling the hell out of everything that all I hear from him is... "what are you reading now?" I don't have anyone close in my family that I can talk to as they are of the opinion I've had 3 and should be happy with that!

I'm 36 and hubby is 37 we've got 2 kids a DD 14 and a DS 13 and have been TTC #3 for about a year. I haven't taken or used BC since before my daughter and no pregnancies besides those two and they were with a low dose of Clomid.

We got serious about baby #3 about a year ago and have had 6 rounds of Clomid and have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility...grrrr. My tests are all fine and hubby is fine too so we've decided to go with IVF as this is our best option and I think that'll be in April so we've got one more natural cycle to try and get our BFP.

Hi ladies. I thought I would check in and see how everyone is getting along. I have 5 more days before I start testing. No symptoms as of right now. I know it is early but I want to feel something to give me a little bit of hope. Can't wait to start testing next week! It is all I can do to hold out till then!!

Hi Flosseroo - sorry to gatecrash your thread (I'm way past your age 41 and TTC#1!) but I just wanted to say that you're not alone, my Dr said the same to me, nothing wrong, forget all the testing etc, have regular BD, enjoy it and just chill (easier said than done I thought!!!) and it will happen, go back by July if it hasn't... So on that basis, I'd carry on with life, find your job, take your mind off it all and it will happen, I've read so many posts on here that have done just that and bingo!

As it happens I;ve found a fab job to apply for, deadline is next week so am gonna apply for it and see what happens.

I;m going to work on the 'sods law' principal that i'll get the job, which is a part time teaching job starting in sept, then i'll get a bfp so it causes maximum problems for everyone!!

Either way, it will be progress!

Forgot to say good luck to everyone about to start testing - am 9 dpo at the mo, not been charting this month so feeling a bit 'out of control' .

Was naughty tho and took a secret temp this morning - how silly is that - is like being a little child again!
Was reasonably high so feeling quite positive!

Well done hun, that's good news, of course you'll get it!! I've more or less done the same, no new job just taken on an additional role at work to get my teeth stuck into. So when you get it, you've got a good few months to go to get that BFP before September!!!! Take care xXx
