Hello!
I haven't posted here since about the time we were TTC our daughter who is now 2.5!
We got pregnant with our daughter in our 3rd month of TTC. At the time I wasn't tracking anything - just a LOT of BD'ing finally did it!
We have been "casually" TTC baby #2 for about a year. I can't say we had been actively trying at all, as we only BD'd maybe 2-3 times a month, but it was always unprotected and DH "went" in me.
We were a little surprised that I didn't get pregnant in that time, but we weren't seriously trying so it wasn't a big deal.
For the past 3 months we have started to get serious about trying to get pregnant. I have been using Clear Blue digital OPK's and my LH surge has been consistent at CD 17-18 every month. We started BD'ing around CD 15 and did every day pretty much until about CD 22-23. I thought for sure by using the OPK's and pinpointing my LH surge, that I would be getting pregnant quick.... but so far, only BFN's.
My cycle is 31 days and is very regular. My LH surge has been very regular. Why am I not getting pregnant? :/ My period is VERY short. Like 2-3 days. It has always been short but it's shorter now that it was before my daughter. I've read something about a "short luteal phase" when you ovulate later in your cycle and have a short AF.... is this my problem?
It's "only" been 3 months, but I am starting to get a little worried as it seems we are doing everything right.
Any idea what might be the issue or any insight into my cycle, ovulation, etc. based on the info I've given? I'm almost wondering if we should just forget the OPK's this month (they're so expensive!) and do it the old fashioned way....
ETA: Should also mention that I get very noticeable EWCM around CD14-15 every month. I have read that this is a symptom of O, but when I take an OPK it is negative. I haven't been getting a positive OPK until 3 or so days later. When am I actually ovulating??
