ttc straight after miscarriage... any buddies?

Hi Ladies!

I'm really saddened to hear about your losses, I too lost two babies last year, I had 2 mmc and therefore 2 d&c's one in May on honeymoon an one in November.

I have been told to wait three cycles before trying again (one more left to go!!!) but just can't wait! A few of my friends have told me they are expecting recently and two family members too - although I am sooo happy for them, I can't help but feel sad too for my loss - this makes me feel really down as I am truly happy for them, but am desperate for a baby of my own!!

I've decided to start trying now and not wait for one more cycle - I hope thats ok!!

So sorry, Sunshine!
I had an ectopic in July and then the D&C I had at 12 weeks the baby was measuring 6w2d ugh.

I do have a daughter and with her everything went great. Got pregnant after one try (literally one...not one month, one time!) and my entire pregnancy and delivery was perfect. So when that ectopic happened I was so surprised. Then, when I got pregnant with the last one and found out it was not ectopic, we thought we'd won! NOPE. So we are pretty stressed out about this whole pregnancy thing as we are back to square one. The ectopic was pretty scary, so I really hope that doesn't happen again next time.

My doc told me that we could start trying after one period. She said there was no reason to wait longer than that. She did recommend waiting for at least one period just to make sure that the uterine lining was thick enough. But I hear of people getting pregnant all the time immediately after a miscarriage and they usually turn out just fine! So you should be fine to ttc now.

That's terrible, ectopic does sound so scary and the whole d & c procedure I found awful too! The good thing is that you know you can carry to full term as you have done before, so you will get there!!!

My consultant said that there is higher risk in mc of you conceive too soon after a d&c. But at the sane time my GP said there was no need to wait to ttc again! Everyone tells us a different story but Im going to just go for it!

Hi,
I am so sorry for loss, its such a horrible thing to go through i recently just had a d&c 9/01 we really want to start trying straight away but i am a little scared.. I am not sure if we should try now or wait until i have my first af. I only bleed for a day after the d&c and stopped for 10 days then returned again for a day.. I am thinking of trying again next week and just see what happens. x

Welcome ladies! I'm so sorry for your losses

The finally got me on Friday and I was in real pain since Thursday. I even went to the ER only to hear that my uterine lining was built up perfectly (what a blessing) and that there has already been blood in my uterus. I got some pain killers and Buscopan for the cramps. Period only stayed until Sunday but yeah anyways new cycle new luck!

It's not exciting, it's just another way my body is using something to mislead and upset me docs said I may only get AF back after 4-6wks so I have another say 2 weeks before I'm going to regard it as a good sign! x

Hi hope it's ok if I jump in I had a d&c on the 13th of jan so just short of 2 weeks ago and me and oh are trying again straight away, my body physically was back to normal just under a week after d&c so we have started trying again, good luck to everyone and hope we all get a bfp soon
