Me and my OH found out yesterday that I had a false positive test (unplanned pregnancy). We have decided to start TTC as from next month. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm confused, sorry. When you said that you had a false positive, do you mean that the test was positive when you weren't actually pregnant? The reason I ask is because that is highly unlikely as hpts are very rarely falsely positive, but more often falsely negative. If you had a positive test and are now testing negative I would say you likely had a chemical pregnancy.

However, if I misunderstood you, please correct me. But, if you had a chemical this means that you are indeed fertile and were pregnant very briefly.

If you are TTC I would start tracking your cycles to try to find out when you are most fertile so you can hopefully speed up the TTC process. Sign up for Fertility Friend. It has great tutorials and info on learning how to chart.

Good luck!

I had a positive tests at 5 weeks. Had 2 and a half days of spotting when my period was due (But nothing like normal period which lead me to test) and at my 12 week scan Wednesday night there was no indication that there ever was a pregnancy :/
I never had heavy bleeding so don't think it was a chemical pregnancy. Just so confused.

But me and OH want to start trying for a baby starting next month. Made us realise that we're ready for a family

Sorry for your loss. Were you having pregnancy symptoms up until the scan? Have you had AF yet? Did your doctor give any explanation as to what may have happened?

I have also just had a recent loss. It is just awful. We are ttc again right after as well.

That's great that you want to start trying :)

Symptoms went away at 6 weeks. We're taking it as a chemical pregnancy and will be starting TTC as from April. Got my basal thermometer and opks coming in a few days.

I had a light bleed at 9 weeks when my period would had been due (nothing like a normal period).

Sounds like it may have been a blighted ovum? That's what I had. That's exciting that you are getting all your tools ready!

Are you counting your light abnormal period at 9 weeks as cd1? What cd are you now? When do you expect AF?

I'm on CD22. Had fertile cm on CD17. Which I thought was pregnancy related but looks to be I was ovulating instead. My cycles are 32 days

I remember your tests hun, they were extremely light to me, I couldn't see any line on a couple of them. I think they were evaps if I'm honest. Thats why i only believe it when I've done a divi! Like the other lady has said, false positives are EXTREMELY rare. Sorry.

Look to the future now. Can't change the past
