Ttc2 for 18 months. Start of fertility journey at hosp experience please

Hi

As the title says we have a gorgeous little one, but have been trying 18 months for no2 with zero success.
We have had the basic blood test and sperm done and all looked o.k, so now have been referred to clinic at hospital.
I would love to hear some stories of what is going to happen next. I have to go for an amh test a scan, hycosy then laproscapy which all sounds pretty daunting. Some real life advice rather than my sheet of paper from NHS would be lovely.

No advice for you, but just wanted to show my support since I too will be starting assisted conception through a clinic this month, we are also ttc #2. We havent been trying as long as you, so I really feel for you cuz 18 months must be very gut wrenching. I was fortunate enough to already have a relationship with an RE who decided to start aggressive treatment at only 3 months off ttc #2 (knowing issues I had with #1, and new issues they revealed this time with a bunch of tests).

We are at the 18 month mark as well and on the 22nd cycle :/ It's a total bummer. We're unexplained. Had the SA, HSG, blood work done, pelvic ultrasounds, etc. SA was fantastic, tubes open, blood work great, pretty good ovarian reserve, ovaries were normal. My lining seems to stay on the thinner side but technically isn't thin enough to cause infertility. Its seriously so annoying!!!

We decided to do IUI with cycle monitoring. On the lowest dose of femara I managed to get 3 follicles. Still waiting to see how that turns out.

I'm thinking of doing 2-3 IUIs total and IVF in January. I haven't had a lap and I honestly don't know if I'll ask for one or not. I'd be floored if I had endometriosis. My endometrium barely seems to grow so I can't imagine that I'd have that stuff growing elsewhere.

I'm a little rambly. Hope my plans for my own journey were helpful for you!

AllyS83 I am starting an infertilty journey as well. Keep in touch and we can keep each other sane. I am waiting my cycle day 22 blood work results to see if I am even ovulating. Cycle day 3 didn't look great to me for being only 25, but I need to stop looking at the internet and talk to my doctor.
