Tube clips?

Hello,

after much thought I'm going forward with trying to convince my Dr to refer me for tube clips!

Has anyone else had this done?

I'm not sure what you mean by Clips? Tubes Tied? I know a couple women who had this- but it was during C-sections... and it was painful for a bit after, nothing major though.

tube tie, but I think it'd be plastic clips put on, I didn't have a section but I'm supposed to be having investigative surgery and they could do tubes at the same time

Ah ok- I see... I think if your done, Why not?! Hindsight I wish I'd had mine tied during my section-- but being my LO was my first baby, I wasn't ready at the time to say absolutely no to more kids. Now I am, of course! LOL- so I just got the IUD placed a few months back instead

Please tell me what you said to your Dr. Mine is adamant that i will have more babies and won't even entertain me lol. Hoping that having given it 6months since my last enquiry she'll talk to me properly.

I think it helps getting the right Dr, is there another one you can talk to at the surgery?

She asked loads of questions and went round and round in circles but eventually agreed to write the letter! It was actually a lot less of a battle than I expected! Then the consultant asked again just before surgery!

Bit sore but nothing like childbirth

Thanks. I'm naturally a broody person but we're almost certainly done making babies bar some divine intervention lol. I currently on the minipill but its nit agreeing with me (making me bleed for 10 days, with only 10 days break between bleeds!) and i would dearly love to stop worrying about contraception. There is only 1 Dr who deals with family planning and she is the one you have to see. She is forever telling me to try different pills or that hubby should get the snip but i want this. My health also couldn't take another oregnancy if i'm honest but if,like she keeps telling me, a tubal isn't always effective i think I'd cope with the consequences. I have the same problem with this go generally.... She also looks after my thyroid and she's just as bad with that. Off to see her next week..... Can't cope til January.

I had my tubes tied, but i was force to have it done. I had a csection and tubes tied a month ago and still sore. But it can be reversed.
