I was always under the impression you could put everything for a baby in the tumble dryer but I've just started sorting a few bits and they all say not to tumble dry - babygros, vests etc..... Can't be right??!!!!

I aired mine off in tumble drier on low heat and they are finex

hmmmmm the only thing i tumble dried that didn't make it was a particular blanket. it totally frazzled it and it is dead. i couldn't imagine having to hang dry everything.

I hang them, I think they keep better that way, the tumbe dryer tends to make things bobbly. They are so small I can get a whole load on a collapsible airer in the house.
I do on occasion tumble dry them too though, but only if they are cotton.

I dry everything lol. Except maybe delicate blankets

i think it's just overly cautious on their part mostly. i just turn things with print inside out and stick them all on a delicate cycle. if they're cotton - what's the worst that could happen? (maybe i'll find out one day...) xx

just tumble them on a low-heat setting and they should be fine.
Put delicate items in a mesh washing bag to protect them...the tiny socks, too! That way they don't go missing.

who doesnt have a tumble dryer? Trust me they're used by everyone over here to...
Just, we like to save on our electricity bills haha

I tumble dried all the baby's clothes when I washed them. I have a clothes airer but I couldnt live without my tumble dryer - I cant sit around waiting for stuff to air dry with the weather we have here in the UK. It would take forever and everything would smell damp unless I turned the heating up - frankly I'd rather put them in the tumble dryer for 20-30mins than have the heating up high for 3hours while they dry...

Thanks all - i'm going to test drive a few items in the dryer first!! I often air dry delicate items but I couldn't cope with hanging out every tiny item!!!

i dry mine on the clothes thingy:L Forgot what its called :S and then i put them in the dryer for about 1min softens it up :p x

i dont take much notice i just bung it all in lol

i have never even separated whites and colours in washing in my life and have never had anything run let alone anything get ruined in a tumble dryer.

:haha: she should do a diaper service for you then and wash all the poo diapers herself!!

I hate tumble driers, we got rid of ours last year - I find it ruins clothes and they don't last as long and I prefer the nice airy clean smell from hanging them up!

Its more work though cos I need to take everything out the washer asap and hang up or it all builds up and takes days to get everything dry!
xxx

She probably would actually knowing her haha
but she lives in Ireland, where i live in England lol bit far to bother just to get someone to wash nappies lmao

I dried all my things 90% on an airer then put them in tumble dryer for half hour. Even the bits that said not to. The only thing I didn't tumble dry was my expensive mamas and papas blanket cuz of the price it cost n would die if I wrecked it before using it x

im new to tumble dryers, i used to hang in the airing cupboard, but the first thing i noticed that tumble drying fade colours, and i have shrunk a few things too ... woooops, somethings i dont want to risk it so i still hang them up in airing cupboard.. but i would rather do all my washing in one day than what i was doing before. My mate told me to put everything in the dryer except special outfits just to be sure.. baby grows are cheap enough and they grow out of them so quick anyway
