Did it follow the book quite well then?

I thought that it did follow the book quite well...most of the parts I wanted to see were included. I was really happy with it!

I've heard it actually didn't follow the book well. I've read very detailed reviews. But I don't want to say what they said, I don't want to ruin it for you ladies!

I can't wait until tomorrow, finally get to see it myself.

Well I mean it followed as well as a movie can I guess. Or maybe I'm just never that critical of anything including Rob Pattinson. lol! It's always dissapointing going in thinking it will be exactly like the book. For me what's most important is to see my favourite scenes from the book included in the movie.

There is a few changes to the story , but i guess they have to keep it entertaining , and going with the flow so to say , its much easier to read things and imagine them then it is to put that into film.

But they pretty much have kept everything , just a few tweaks here and there.

Not heard one bad review iether , which is reasurring! Considering people werent too pleased with David Slade Filming it at the start!

Apparently you have to stay after the credits roll for an extra scene!? Im not sure what though.

I haven't read all the 13 pages of this thread but I just wanted to add how excited I am to be going to the midnight showing tonight! Can't wait!! I have friends who work at a cinema and so got to see it yesterday at a private screening and have heard mixed reviews so I hope it is going to be good and true to the book (pet hate of mine - movies that are supposed to be based on the book but in actual fact have only had the book waved at them from a distance. I Am Legend for example, don't get me started!!!)

(also, if anyone in the area wants 2 tickets to the midnight showing tonight in High Wycombe you can have them for free if you can meet me to pick them up as I have 2 spares that I don't need as I booked tickets in Hemel Hempstead which is closer to me. Can't post this on the For Sale forum as I don't have a long enough membership yet!!)

I LOVED it!!!! Filmed so much better, much better acting and stuck to the story more that i thought it would!

Even OH, who i made sit through all 3 films!!! said eclipse was a much better film than the other 2, i think they should keep this director for Breaking Dawn films!!

I'm soooo excited for the next one now!!!

I saw it last night too (well technically this morning!) and thought the exact same as you, it was AMAZING and David Slade should have been the director of Twilight & New Moon! I really hope that they sign him up for Breaking Dawn. He captured something special that the other two directors completely missed.

Can't wait to see it again

Agree, just got back and was amazing!! Director managed something that was missing in the first two films and agree they kept to the story much more than I thought they would, was fantastic! Dont want to wait until breaking dawn now, going to be forever agh!! Am off to read the book instead xx
