I haven't put a number on - will see how I go on
(DH has now flopped himself onto the sofa leaning on me so I can't get up & get the book I was going to write about - will add it tomorrow!!)

ETA - damn I missed an apostrophe out & it will annoy me now for the whole year!!

Shoot, I haven't counted but at LEAST 20, probably closer to 30 already done. I get about 2 read per week. Thank goodness for libraries; I used to buy all my books!

Sorry sorry - 100 views & no updates from me! I've realised I'm much better at reading books than I am at reviewing them so I shall probably just write what books I've read & if anyone wants to know what I think of them they can ask!

Ok so since I first started the thread I've read

In your dreams - Tom Holt - very funny!

Chocolate Wishes - Trisha Ashley - easy reading fluff

Until its over - Nicci French - good murder mystery

The Distant Hours - Kate Morton - I LOVE this book, I was desperate to know what happened but didn't want it to end!

Bad Boy - Peter Robinson - an Inspector Banks mystery - always a good read

Just finished The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters - first of her books I'd read after recommendations on here - good, quite scary but not as much as the woman from The Times said!

Been on holiday for a week - read:

Deadly Communion by Frank Tallis - murder set in Imperial Austria - really good!

The Ghosts of Sleath by James Herbert - scary!

Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult - good - not as sad as some of her others I've read

Come on mother!!!

Come on mother!!!

Sorry I'm rubbish!!

Ok this weekend I've been poorly & I've read -

Dean Koontz - Odd Thomas

Lee Child - Worth Dying For

James Patterson - Postcard Killers

Karen Rose - You belong to me

All good thrillers but Lee Child is my favourite!

You've read more books than me in a weekend than I have in a year :angelnot:

Just finished the Westminster Poisoner by Susannah Gregory - really good & based on real people from just after the time of Cromwell.

Also recently read Inconceivable by Ben Elton about a couple strruggling with infertility - doesn't sound a barrel of laughs but made me giggle & wonder if he'd been eavesdropping in our bedroom!

Also Skippy Dies by Paul Murray - it's actually DH's but I'd run out of things to read - it was a bit of an odd one I have to say!

Ok - a quick update of the ones I can remember

- A Little Bit Marvellous by Dawn French - I liked it, quite funny, my Mum hated it!

- The Help by Katheryn Stockett - brilliant, I loved it & couldn't put it down. Read it!!

- Bloodstream - Tess Gerritsen - good no effort reading

- Don't Blink - James Patterson - He doesn't seem to write books on his own anymore - just collaborations which I don't think are as good.
