So, I was informed that both of these (when used properly and in moderation) are ok when breastfeeding.

I had some tylenol earlier today for pain. About half an hour later, I started to feel better and treated myself to a few sips of wine while having a snack. After about 5 sips, my husband came by and asked if it was ok to mix the two. Yikes!!!! :dohh:

I stopped my sipping immediately and searched online without finding much help.

We have always been very moderate drinkers, and I didn't touch any alcohol throughout my pregnancy. I also take medicine very infrequently. I therefore I didn't even think there could be a potential problem. If it were just me, I would drink lots of water and relax -- knowing I didn't have much alcohol at all. However, as I am breastfeeding, I am concerned if there could be any negative side effects on the baby. Help!

It's fine. I've done both many times although I prefer ibuprofen (advil).

you should never take Tylenol and alcohol together as it is very hard on your liver, but as a one time thing it should be fine. I would think that your body would detoxify most of the Tylenol and alcohol so the amount LO would get would be soo minimal that it won't be hard on their liver. Just for your livers sake I wouldn't do it again.
