How have your appointments been? IM 10+2 and received my booking appointment letter for when im nearly 13 weeks and an appointment for my 12 week scan at nearly 15 weeks. Along with a consultant appointment mid may. Im high risk and had weekly consultant appointments last pregnancy so why have my first one around 20 weeks. Im pretty confused, am i the only one the nhs has put out of their own guidelines?

Normally you have less appointments after your first baby but as your high risk im not certain what they will do. I had my booking appointment last week at 8+4 ish and am awaiting my scan details, I wont see my midwife again now until 16 weeks on the 1st may.

You need your scan before 14 weeks hun - call them and see what they can do. If you want the testing done it has to be before then.

My booking in appt is next week (as long as my scan for early bleeding shows a heartbeat)... I think it is meant to be between 8 and 10 weeks. But here (moved last year) the midwife calls you and sorts it out directly with you and comes to your house!! - no letters involved. It was different when I was in London.

Is there any chance they have your dates wrong?

I've got my booking appointment tomorrow at 6+6 weeks and I think I'll be given the details of how to ring to book my 12 week scan after that appointment. If you want nuchal translucency I think tour scan needs to be before 14 weeks. 15 weeks sounds much too late! I'd phone to check. I think the midwife booking visit being late matters less.

I was told here id be seen for booking between 8-10 and then wouldn't see her again until 25ish weeks. But between that time id get the consultant care weekly. I spoke to the appointments woman 5 mins before the post came and questioned the scan when she told me but was told they were busy until then like it or lump it.

Hun call back and ask to speak to her supervisor - or call your GP and get them to do it on your behalf. It's too late xx

Hiya I went to the docs at 5 weeks to get booked in with midwife (have to see doc for even though they didnt pregnancy test me or anything was in there 2 minutes lol) then midwife came to my house when I was about 8/9 weeks! Had blood tests done at the baby clinic at 9/10 weeks and received scan in the post that time, and my scan I will be 12+1 😃🙏 I would deffo call them and ask them what's going on especially as u are high risk! Xxx

Cant rely on my gp. I went to them to ask for a midwife referral checked with hospital a fortnight later and the gp hadn't sent it. I had to do a self referral which is why its so late they've got back to me. I'll ring them first thing and speak to someone else. Failing that I'll call the midwife center and get them to push through with me.

Phone them ASAP. If they don't help you contact PALS at your hospital and make a complaint. My sister had the same issue with appointments going missing. She called many times and once was left holding (only they thought she was on hold) and heard the reception staff slag her off and her GP. She hung up called them back and told them she heard everything and would be making a complaint to PALS about the appointment service and the staff. Funnily enough they found her an appointment, she was scanned before 13 wks and her 20wk scan was booked in faultlessly!

My scan isn't until 13+2, and booking apt 12+5, but if I were you I would definitely be forceful about getting your scan brought forward. It's really important to check the NT before 14 weeks.

Thanks for your replies ladies, I'll ring in the morning and have words with them. They are well known for their shocking maternity department's so what's one more complaint.

I agree call them . That's weird should not be after 15 weeks . ?
