stick shift is an optional and some people do prefer it. It is actually cheaper to buy than automatic. But for soe reasons, everyone buys an automatic. I don't think I can drive stick. but I remember how I was always fascinated by it of a Ford pick up truck that both of my parent drove. I grew up with it.

Breakfast/breaky, lunch, we also have "brunch" (meal between breakfast & lunch) lunch, dinner/tea,dessert then supper.

Swimsuits are cozzys, bathers, swimmers.

Fag is a gay boy/man & also a cigerette/smoke.

Shoes, we have thongs (can also be a term for gstrings), pluggers, holy soles, sandals, water skis

Baby gear. Onesie- short/long sleeved with buttons under the nappy for easy changing. Nappy instead of diaper, bassinett (moses basket) cot (crib I guess?), dummy (pacifier) vest (warm sleveless top only covers torso), pram / stroller, MCN's (modern cloth nappies)

You call shoes thongs??????????????? Seriously???

I've heard people in the US call flip-flops thongs as well, although its not as common.

I stall out a lot when I drive stick. Most of the stick, or manual, cars over here are sport cars. Some are comfort/luxury cars, but it seems they tend to be sporty ones that have stick.

Its probably 50/50 auto & manual cars here. We have two manuals (work utes) and the family car is auto

Ohhh you've just made me think of a question

is a tux or tuxedo what we call a suit? I always thought they were the name for extra special suits but I've never heard them say suit in american tv shows

tux (short term for tuxedo). it is a special type of suit that you wear in weddings and proms or other special occasions. it typically has a bow tie (although I am not sure all of them do as I've seen scarfs and such as well) and sometimes remind me of penguins.

We have tights and pantyhose. Pantyhose are sheer and usually nude colored. Tights are thicker and usually opaque and come in darker colors.

Stockings are stockings, if they stay up without a garter belt though they are thigh-highs.

LOL at suspenders, pretty much only men wear suspenders here! Braces go on your teeth. What do you call orthodontic braces in the UK? or are suspenders and orthodontia called the same thing?

Yeah a tux to me is a suit usually black/white with a bow tie. A suit is comething a business man would wear.
