Update 11 months after referral I have another appointment tomorrow.

Well soy failed for me.
Next appointment is tomorrow, just taken my period so hopeful they might actually prescribe clomid or something for me.
Nervous in case they say it has to be IUI or something with a long waiting list. If its a waiting list I have to look to go private. At 38 I've no more time to loose.

Appointment went well, letrozole and iui referral. Something will work for us.

I thought I replied to this yesterday :dohh: glad the appt went well, I got letrozole too and responded really well to it :) will you be monitored? and triggered?

I'll be monitored day 10 + 12 no mention of trigger but I guess they might if I've not ovulated myself.

How's your bump coming along?

that's the same as me, I think they'll trigger once your follicle gets to 15mm+! I think the reason they trigger is so that the other follies don't catch up and you don't release multiple eggs but not 100% sure! did your DH do an SA? I have high hopes for letrozole for you :) how many cycles do you get? are you starting it this cycle?

bump is coming along great, thanks for asking :hugs:

Very lucky for me I took a period on Monday (6.4 week cycle) and yesterdays appointment must have been booked about April time, so yesterday was CD2 so started on it last night.
Yes DH did his SA back in January all is fine there.
I've been given 6 cycles and if it failes then IUI the waiting list is about 8 mths. So we'll see how we go, consultant is fairly conviced the drugs will do it for me.

that's excellent, 8 months waiting list is fantastic! and a full six normal length cycles before then :happydance:

Exactly the appointment couldn't have gone any better really happy with what she has done for me.
I have 6 mths to try the letrozole and failing that only another couple of months for the IUI. The Consultant was really supportive and aware that at 38 I don't have time to waste but she did say my AMH? Ovary level was quite high esp for my age which could be down to PCOS or the fact my mum had a very late menopause or a combination of both.

Well 8 had something to do with it she either say 7-8 or 8-9 mths I can't quiet remember but doesn't think we'll need to go beyond the letrozole.

it really couldn't have gone any better! which is unusual because I think more often than not these appointments are so disappointing after waiting for them for so long and getting hopes up! very chuffed for you :)

fingers crossed you conceive first cycle of letrozole :happydance:
