I got my results today and I dont have Gestational Diabetes - just a bloody large baby!!! Am having a growth scan on Wed so see exactly how big - but MW said to me yesterday that seein as both OH and I are 6ft, and im very broad it would be strange if our baby was small!! Hopefully he will stay put a couple more weeks, but am 2/5ths engaged and think i lost some of my plug yesterday so its in the hands of fate!! Thanks girlies xx

Oh no! I rang up the central delivery suite today as Ive been getting these funny turns - feeling faint, a bit dizzy and hot flushes, which I put down to when i hadnt aten for a while and my blood sugar was low. Anyway, my bump has been really sore the last couple of days, at the top and really hard, where little mans bum is pushing.
They advised me tocome in, rigged me up to listen to his heart, toco etc which was all lovely and steady...when i fist went it she remarked on the size of my bump and said "have you had a growth scan"...i told her I had one at 33+3 and bubs was in the normal range. My fundal height was always measuring ahead but had levelled out the last two appts I had.
When the MW checked my FH it was at 43!!!! She got another MW to come and check it, who also measured it at 43. Then they tested my wee which had a +1 glucose - for the firsttime EVER!!
Consultant came in, checked fundal height, 43 again and had a feel of the baby - they all agreed that it is all baby and not fluid (my amniotic fluid levels are really low which completely contradicts the size of my baby!!)
The reason my bump is so sore is because LO is really pushing the skin - its so tight and seems to have grown incredibly in the last 2 weeks.
Ive now got to go for a glucose tolerance test in case ive developed gestational diabetes and also a growth scan next week where they will decide whatto do.
Basically it may mean they move my C section date even further forward as the MW said she wouldnt be surprised if my body decides to go into labour at any time!!!
Anyway - just thought Id update! I like to share the love...lol!
