Thanks for all the replies to my original post - my computer i old and w**k and i cant update the original thread, so just to update those who asked:

I got my results today and I dont have Gestational Diabetes - just a bloody large baby!!! Am having a growth scan on Wed so see exactly how big - but MW said to me yesterday that seein as both OH and I are 6ft, and im very broad it would be strange if our baby was small!! Hopefully he will stay put a couple more weeks, but am 2/5ths engaged and think i lost some of my plug yesterday so its in the hands of fate!! Thanks girlies xx

Original Post;
Oh no! I rang up the central delivery suite today as Ive been getting these funny turns - feeling faint, a bit dizzy and hot flushes, which I put down to when i hadnt aten for a while and my blood sugar was low. Anyway, my bump has been really sore the last couple of days, at the top and really hard, where little mans bum is pushing.
They advised me tocome in, rigged me up to listen to his heart, toco etc which was all lovely and steady...when i fist went it she remarked on the size of my bump and said "have you had a growth scan"...i told her I had one at 33+3 and bubs was in the normal range. My fundal height was always measuring ahead but had levelled out the last two appts I had.
When the MW checked my FH it was at 43!!!! She got another MW to come and check it, who also measured it at 43. Then they tested my wee which had a +1 glucose - for the firsttime EVER!!
Consultant came in, checked fundal height, 43 again and had a feel of the baby - they all agreed that it is all baby and not fluid (my amniotic fluid levels are really low which completely contradicts the size of my baby!!)
The reason my bump is so sore is because LO is really pushing the skin - its so tight and seems to have grown incredibly in the last 2 weeks.
Ive now got to go for a glucose tolerance test in case ive developed gestational diabetes and also a growth scan next week where they will decide whatto do.
Basically it may mean they move my C section date even further forward as the MW said she wouldnt be surprised if my body decides to go into labour at any time!!!
Anyway - just thought Id update! I like to share the love...lol!
xx

Good news about the GD! Good luck for your scan on wednesday hun x

ooooooo.. good news and good luck! Take it easy for the next week if you can. See if LO can hold on till 37 weeks. x x x

Good news on the results hun, you are having your c section on my due date :)

I am having the same thing at the moment, fundal height is being measured at 44w (by three people yesterday) and found I have polyhydrmanios and quite a big little lady in there :). Have a glucose test and a growth scan on Monday to see if likely to bring section forward a week as is booked for april fools day at moment

xx

ok so maybe its just that pic but i wouldnt say you look huge...anyways im so glad you dont have GD...just a big healthy baby :D best outcome really isnt it xxx

So glad you don't have GD!! Lovely bump though.. Although I agree with bump I wouldn't say you were THAT big!! Maybe you're just carrying a lot of water! You'll have to let us know how you get on at you're scan! xxx

Thanks hun - to be honest i didnt think i was excessively massive!! I think the reason they are concerned is that it is all baby and NOT water. One of the MW said that if it was baby and water then fair enough but i have very low fluid and 3 of them had a feel and baby is really pushing against my skin, no cushioning. Because i had a bit of reduced movement they think all the factors add up to him being about the size of a baby who is over their due date rather than 36 weeks!! Ah well, so long as hes ok then i dont care how big he is!! Will wait and see what Wed brings! xx

I was told that my bump is all baby.. I don't know exactly what my fluid level is but when I had my 4D scan the woman told me that I'm all baby.. I'm assuming the fluid level I've got is nothing to worry about as she didn't seem concerned and I'm sure she said if there was a problem she would tell me or try to contact my MW and she hasn't so ... Maybe someone got you're dates wrong and you're actually OVER due lol. I'm sure you're little man will man will be fine.. The bigger he is the better the cuddles :D

Thats good news about the GD :happydance:! Looking at your picture of your bump you don't look that big for it to be a massive baby.

Good news about GD. Just a happy healthy baby in there! :)
