Ok so my bubz was lying on it's head at our 13+5 scan!!!

Anyone else had this????

I was worried but Doc said this is a verrrrrrry clever baby as all the blood is going to his/her head oxygenating him/ her.

Will he/she turn and if so when or how often???

(Attached is a pic - sorry Doc's machine is not very clear!)

Your baby will turn hundreds of times before it settles into any position - it has loads and loads of room at the moment so will be flipping about all the place.

As BabyJayne said.. Don't worry

You've got ages yet and you'll probably have appointments where you're baby is breech, transverse and god knows what before you get to a point where positioning is important. So I wouldn't worry.. You're LO still has loads of room to move about and if you had another scan today baby would probably be in a completely different position :)

Mine looked like it was flying at the 12 week scan. It also looked like it was shooting laser beams out of its eyes so perhaps its some sort of super-baby?!

Anyway, I digress....as everyone above has said, it's got so much room to move at the moment that it's making full use of it to practise no end of gymnastics.

mine was lying on its head at 8 weeks & lying on its front at 12 weeks. They move about so much when they're still little - I don't think they settle until much later on in pregnancy. Don't worry!

Aw thanks ladies :D

It was just really more of a bummer as I wanted a nice avatar pic but baby was not conforming, we couldn't get of the face so I couldn't see bubz's nose and what it's sweet face looked like. Saw lots of legs and arms flaying about tho hehe

Xxx

At 13 weeks baby is moving around loads and will twist & turn in any direction you can imagine before settling down!

Hi everyone, Iim new to all this but just wanted to say your baby will move hundreds of times between now and him or her being born! When i had my 12 week scan baby was in a nice comfey possition at my 20 week scan she was hanging upside down - i dont know whether you can see my picture, she looks like she is skydiving! I asked my midwife last week and she said before too long she'd be in many different positions. I wouldn't worry too much bu your next scan i expect you will be able to see a difference in possition straight away x

At 13 weeks you wouldn't have got a very good face shot anyways - it just means that your 20 week scan will be that much more special! :)
