Urine Retention

I had this during my first pregnancy at 11 weeks,

I've now had it 3 times (from 11 weeks - 14 weeks) and was in and out of hospital. I'm 18 weeks now and it seems to have sorted itself out. Fingers crossed!

I was just wondering if there is anyone else who suffered from it. I know of noone and it was very isolating as I had noone to discuss it with.

I would also like to offer help and support to anyone else in the same position.

I personally have never had urine retention and never had met someone who is pregnant with it but I do have experience in the job that do. My patients at work will have this at times. I can tell how agonizing it is. The even become confused and delusional sometimes. When I need to cath them to relieve them I have to clamp it in intervals so they don't go into shock depending on how much and how fast the urine is coming out.

I think the hardest thing for me was the lack of information available. There is no mention of it in any books or literature you are given by health professionals when you are pregnant.
