US doctor question?

Had my appt. Today, and went ahead and requested the check. The nurse said they normally just do one at 39 until baby comes, but as I was booking an induction for next week they would do a check. I was 1 cm dialated and about 40% efaced? I know it's not much, but doctor said by next week I should be favorable for my induction! Thanks for the advice all

When I got checked at my 39 week appointment with my second baby, my cervix was "maybe half a centimeter" dilated, and 2 days later I jumped straight into active labor. So, you could be revving to go at any time still. Throwing tonssssss of labor dust your way!

I informed DH of what doctor said, them promptly told him we would be DTD lots this next week to try and help things along even more. Needless to say he is a happy camper now
