I have a doppler that I got and I've used it a few times but I'm out of the ultrasound gel. Is there anything else you can use? I can't really spend a lot of money at the mo.

thanks!

Yeah I use a big tube of aloe vera gel - no colorants, no alcohol and no scent added though. Works fine and doesn't leave a mess or smell.

I've heard that others use baby oil or bio oil and that it works fine too.

I guess oils/gels would work fine, not too sure about a normal moisturizer though. Personally I avoid things that are too greasy/thick or have too much perfume.

Aloe works very well and so does Preseed, if you have any left from your TTC days.:haha:

I read on the website for Sonoline B, the monitor I use, to avoid anything oil based, as it can corrode the probe, over time.

Good luck.:flower:

I have the Aloe gel but all I could find is one with "cooling" so it really irritates my skin. I tried my normal body lotion and that worked fine! I just rub it in when done.

Aloe vera, bio oil, preseed, concieve plus, ky jellly.....

Aloe vera or any type of base massage oil...

i think I still have a bunch of lube left over from TTC LOL!!!!!

Try ebay :) they sell cheap ultra sound gel :) thats where i have always bought mind from :3! £1.99 - not sure how much that is in dollar's though, x

Any water based lubricant works, it's what I use with mine as it's like £1 from Bodycare

I use baby oil! I don't like the gel that the doppler came with, it's all goupy and messy. A couple of drops of baby oil and it works great!

But I imagine any moisturizer/lubricant would do the trick.

I used baby oil when I ran out, and pre seed. It felt so wrong 'wasting' my pre-seed. Now I'm using KY jelly, I'd lost it as I put it away as it was not TTC friendly, but finally found it again.

I use banana boat aloe vera gel, I've heard oil can damage the probe.
