Hi there,

Just had my 20+4wk scan had the consultant was really nice and not at all concerned. However i left without asking any questions as on the high from seeing the bubba on screen again.
He outlined i had Uterine Artery Notches and to come back at 28wks, as it should clear up.
Over the weekend i have worried myself silly after research on Google - dont do it!
So i rang my mw who had never heard of the condition, this also did not help and still not heard back from her as she would find out and get back to me. (to be fair she is a district nurse & mw rolled into one -but disconcerting all the same)

I will contact the consultant next week and afer reading many of the posts on here, request a scan at 24wks as 28wks seems a lifetime away. Also to see if he can put my mind at rest hoping that the notching is slight on the scale and not severe.

I also have a low lying placenta - again it was advised it would lift, but i never asked what if it didnt- reading other posts alot of women were advised of the length, this is not in my notes either.

Anyone out there got any helpful advice or questions to ask the consultant and is the outcome a positive one?

never heard of this ever but didnt want to read and run, just wanted to say as your consultant didnt seem concerned and said it should clear up im sure its nothing to worry about. maybe when u see him just ask to have it thoroughly explained to u, the thing i always tend to ask about everything is whether it will affect the baby, if the answer is no then i relax!
good luck im sure all is fine
