I had an u/s done today and saw multiple corpus luteal cysts, so I definitely ovulated this cycle. However, something the nurse said confused me. She said that my lining went from three layers on Friday to one layer today (Wednesday) which was also an indication that ovulation had occurred. I'm not sure what that means? I always thought the uterus itself has three layers, and the one layer of the endometrium thickens after ovulation because of progesterone and then sheds if implantation doesn't occur. Some of the information they've given me in the past has been dubious; I'm getting a new doctor soon, but I wanted to see this cycle through first because I can't get in to see another until mid December. Anyone know if this information makes any sense?
