So I guess this isn't strictly a c section post, but as u wouldn't know if u had one after a normal birth I'd thought I'd post here!

I was told I had one after the birth of my daughter last week and go ogling it has been very scary! Not had my pp checks yet so not been able to talk to him yet but wanted to hear from others about their experiences and future pregnancies

I plan to have another child but want to have my facts straight before we think about when to go for it again!

Xxxx

it's where part of the uterus is so thin u can see the baby through it. hence it gets discovered as a c section is being done. it's normally around a scar tissue, like a previous c section scar.

no I hadn't until my dr mentioned it after my recent c section. x

It sounds like what I had. As I was lying on the table being cut open for my 2nd c section the surgeon said the scar was coming apart inside and he could see my waters. He said it would have lasted 3 contractions before rupturing. Soooooo glad I had an ELCS as I spent so long wondering if a VBAC would have been better. A VBAC attempt would probably have had a terrible outcome in my case. I did always say I fancied a 3rd child but I really don't think we will now. The surgeon didn't say it was unsafe to have a third, just that it would mean an automatic c section at 37 weeks. I keep googling uterine rupture and the word "catastrophic" pops up a lot. Bit scary. Every pregnancy is different though.
