Hello ladies! Just wanted to get some assistance about this if I may?

I am in my 2WW (4 Dpo) and have developed a nuisance of a UTI. I am quite prone to these and Azo is my best friend during the battle!! However, I haven't had to take it since TTC and honestly don't know if it would impede my chances of becoming pregnant or hurt the pregnancy in general.

Have any of you ladies gotten a UTI during early pregnancy and got the OK to take Azo by your doctor? Sadly, my doctors office will be closed until Tuesday (AHHH!) before I can make it to get any antibiotics and need some relief until then, but didn't want to take the risk. So, here I am asking for help.....

I have been drinking loads of water and cranberry juice, helps but isn't enough. I got NO sleep lastnight due to being up every 30 min to an hour and then spending an hour in the bathroom

I may have no choice but to visit the ER...I have some blood in my urine.

Please help ladies!

Thats awful :( I have a history too and they are so painful. Do you mean the orange azo pills? Check the box, but if they are pyridium it is safe during pregnancy. I know azo has a couple of different things, so I'm not sure which one you are talking about.
There is a great product called cran bladder releaf. Im not sure where you live, but Whole Foods sells it. I bought mine off the internet. It is a tincture and really helps prevent bladder infections. It can also get rid of one if it is early. THat can not be taken during pregnancy, but I used ot take it up til O, because the increase in bding when we were ttc was worrying me. My UTIs always seemed to be related to sex...anyway, that stuff saved me when I was having recurring ones. I was tired of taking so many antibiotics. There is also something called dmannose, which is supposed to be really good. It is a powder they sell at health food stores. It didn't work for me, but did for some. Not sure during pregnancy. ALso apple cider vinegar or baking soda is knows to reduce the burning. You can google them and see if it is something you want to try while you wait to get medication. Again you'd have to check to see if they are safe during pregnancy, but I would think those two are. THey are supposed to take away the burning, but still make sure you see the doctor because I dont think they usually get rid of the infection...just the symptoms! GOod luck!!!

Thanks! I appreciate the input. I am referring to the orange azo. I went ahead and took one, I was miserable! And the box just says, "consult a doctor first" lol.

I guess I will just have to do my best right now until I can get to a doctor for some antibiotics :( Any other information from you ladies would be greatly appreciated!
