ask your midwife to write it down on your sscan request so they can check it it at the scan. they just need to ask to check the cord insertion and to check for vasa previa using a colour Doppler scan.

my heart is breaking for you. What a beautiful baby. Thanks so much for sharing your story - I never heard of this before. Just placenta previa. I will be asking for my OB to check for this at my next scan.

Thankyou to everyone who has helped raise awareness for this condition, in january 2011 New Guidelines were released by the RCOG. this is a huge milestone for Vasa Previa Awareness, had these long overdue guideline been released when i was pregnant with Miller he would be here today. I hope by the RCOG doing this they are standing up and saying No more babies need to die from VP. Well Done. I know Miller would be proud. Missing you always Miller xx
