Hi!
I am in the unusual position of finding a consultant who has actually agreed I can attempt labour after 3 c/s's! At first I was elated to have the chance, but now I am scared and really confused as there is so little evidence of previous cases. I have read all the reports I can find on Internet.

Consultant said my chance of success could be as little as 30%. the risk of rupture is around 1-500, not really higher than after 1.

This is actually a lower risk than complications for a 4th c/s.

Really don't know what to do, anyone out there help??
Thanks xx

hi simular to u but ive had 2 sections and am going to attempt a vbac with my 3rd, funny ive also been told its a 1 in 500 chance of rupture after 2 sections also. how many weeks are you? im 36. but they said they dont have the stats on rupture, but thats only because they dont want to allow to try a vbac after 2 sections. i dont really know anything myself and im scared but i so much want a natural birth that im going to try as u will be in the right place at the right time if anything does go wrong and i think of it as u can rupture after 1 section so really its just the same situation now.

Thanks moments; I'm with you on all that! I just don't know of I'm capable of labour as have never laboured before! My first attempt at VBAC with #2 ended in C/S as they couldn't induce me and get labour going at 42 wks.
I'm afraid of the same happening again and ending up in theatre anyway!!
