Vbac baby #3?

This is my last and final baby. I would love to try and say I pushed a baby out once! I never progressed with my daughter and my son came 15m after my daughter so I ended up with c sect for both. Now, I'm pregnant with #3. My son will be 3 years when this baby is born. Do you think my dr would allow a vbac?

Nice guidelines say vba2c is fine some doctors don't like it but that's only because it's not the norm x

I asked my Dr today and she scared me. Told me no way

Talk to another dr. Many Drs around me won't allow them but I found an amazing group of Drs who are supportive and even said my risk of a 3rd c-section are slightly higher than the risk of issues from tolac ice had 2 c-sections and at my due date will only have been 17 months since my last! I'm going for it!

When I as pregnant with my third last year, my OB actually wanted me to consider a vbac if the stars aligned. So when I was in the hospital for pre term contractions, I asked if it would be a possibility and the entire high risk team including maternal fetal specialists looked at me as though I was insane. They said after 2 csections the risks sky rocket and that they would not recommend that at all. If I had insisted I had to sign a special waver etc. Just wasn't worth it in the end for me... I decided I just wanted baby out and here safely. If you really want to though I'm sure it's possible. They did however tell me that "failure to progress" almost always ends up in repeat csections.

So, my first was a natural (induced labour at 40wks), second a csec after failed induction at 32wk after twelve hours of labour , I had intended to have a VBAC with my third but I was huge and measured 49cm at 37wk I had a lot of pressure on my uterus with too much water and a big baby . Sooo plans changed and an elective was booked for 38wks. We're ttc #4 anc whilst I'd love to experience a natural labour and birth it's far too risky and I like the knowledge of being literally in the safest place whilst my baby is delivered . I haemorrhaged with my last section as well so would never be allowed a VBAC anyway

I had to have two c sections as both my babies were breach due to a uterine abnormallty. This baby is head down and I brought up a vbac a couple of times with my ob. My youngest is 4 not now so it's been a while! She repeatedly told me it was a bad idea and wants to do another section. Although I am not excited about this, I will follow medical​ option as I trust her

Are you in the US?

I'm in the UK and they actually encouraged me to have a VBAC with my son who was due 15 months after my DD. It was successful and everyone was fine with it, and thought it was the best option.
Similarly to you there's now been 3 years since my last birth and 4 years since my c section and they are encouraging a VBAC again. I'm not sure of the increased risks of VBA2C but I would certainly discuss it further if it's what you really want.
I think there's a bit of a difference on views on VBACs here in the U.K.
