Very quick dark bfp

My af was due in July 30th. Had spotting on 29th. I thought it was the beginning of af. But then it stopped. I was going to wait and test on August 1st but went ahead and tested the 31st the night before and was shocked to see a very quick and dark bfp. Is it normal for a dark line to pop up immediately so early?
