I'm thinking of taking a normal Women's 1-a-Day with a DHA supplement.

I compared the prenatals with the regular vitamins and they seemed pretty comparable. I am currently not taking iron.

Has anyone else done this?

I'd just be careful about Vitamin A. You don't want too much of it during pregnancy. Also, I think prenatal vitamins might have a different type of vitamin A than regular vitamins. That's definitely something worth checking into.

I was taking a regular multivitamin because the vitamin A was the same as was in my prenatal vitamin - same form and same dosage. I had another multivitamin I liked, but it had vitamin A from a different source, so I put that away until after pregnancy is over.

is there folic acid in regular one a day vitamins? You can get folic acid separately as well but I know it's an important one.

i take pregnecare and omega 3 oil. seems o.k so far

Yes, there is the same amount of folic acid and Vitamin A in both.

I've been taking the One A Day prenatals with DHA for this whole pregnancy, and it seems to be doing everything it's supposed to do. My OB has been happy at all of my check ups and test results, and baby appears to be growing perfectly normal. Never had a problem with nausea with them either!

Edit: opps, completely missed the "regular" part, haha! (it's been one of those days) I would discuss it with your medical provider and see what they recommend since they know'll what levels of vitamins you need based on your specific body requirements. You'll get some of what you need anyway from the food you eat.
