Vitex, Vit B, etc

When in your cycle do you take it, is it ok for breast feeding, and what are some stories? I am reading its good, I am reading its bad, there's nothing out there to convince me to believe it!

Also, can I take vit B while breast feeding?

I've taken Vitex since November of last year. I take it everyday of the cycle. I take two 500mg pills in the morning and then 1 at night until suspected ovulation. Then, I take one in the morning and one at night. If pregnancy occurs, I'll do one pill a day until I wean myself off of it since it's not good to take while pregnant past the 1st trimester.

It hasn't led to a pregnancy, but it has definitely helped regulate my cycles. My cycle now starts on the same day of the last four months (even though I've only been on Vitex for three months). So, it's definitely helping. I'm just not so sure it will ever get me pregnant.

Anyone know if Vitex is ok during Breastfeeding also?

I thought it was to lengthen my LP a little bit....but not sure if thats accurate? There's not real good info out there about it.

You're welcome! As far as I know, my body is at least *trying* to ovulate. The very first cycle on it, I was temping and noticed my temps did indicate ovulation. I ditched temping by the second cycle on it because I'd skipped too many days to keep it accurate. Ever since starting the Vitex, my body gets the CM that everyone says is needed for semen to swim in, but also I get a crampy feeling and the timing is about smack-dab in the middle of my cycle like a "normal" person's. Before Vitex my cycles varied between 35-47 days. Knocking on wood, they've been almost textbook at 31-32 days. I hope it stays that way (or, of course pregnancy happens!).

I worry because I had all that happen before Vitex...and now this month NO pain, NO CM nothing. I think I did the opposite

Can I take EPO and other stuff during breast feeding? I am pretty sure baby aspirin is a definite no...bummer cuz I think that helped finally get pregnant before afer 2 years I hope I don't ahve to wean him to get pregnant. But really, who the hell am I trying to kid. With NOT breast feeding it took years to get pregnant and taking EPO, Vit B comlex, and baby aspirin. So now I am hoping to fall preg while breast feeding and not taking those things? I am an idiot...

I took vitex from November of last year. And it didnt really do much. It helped my flow not be so heavy. But I missed about a week in december and BOOM!! Everything went to crap. I had to stop taking it yesterday so i could start prometrium to induce AF. I am now 15 days late for AF. I went to our local herbalis and she gave me new stuff. Red raspberry leaf tea and Fertiltiy blend sp-1. The vitex i got was not all organic. She said thats probablly what happened. Something synthetic in it.. Who knows really. I wish you luck.

I think I should just stop it....I am afraid it sounds like it messes people up more than helps them!
