Anyone else waiting for their first cycle after miscarriage? I had a complete miscarriage June 8th and it seems the bleeding is done (has tailed off to just spotting). Planning on waiting until after next AF shows up to try again.

Same here miscarried fully the 31st now just waiting for AF to show! Dr. told us this time we had to waiting two months to ttc again. It is going to be a long 2 months.

Yep! Had a missed MC at 11 weeks on May 15th. Everything had stopped at 6 weeks. Did misoprostol that day.

Have been doing weekly HCG's...June 11th it was 9. Midwife said we should be in the clear. Started spotting yesterday (must be the rest of everything that was there) so just hanging in there. I don't expect AF for another 4-5 weeks.

if my AF came at her "normal" time it would be right when I go on vacation on a houseboat!

cscbeth - do you know what your hcg was when you miscarried? was the 1 day half life right for you?

i had some brown spotting for 2 days but nothing concerning, just didnt feel pregnant, which is why i pushed for early ultrasound. So ultrasound was may 22nd

Levels:
may 22nd it was 1200
may 28th it was 216
June 4th 39
June 11th 9

THis past Monday i started spotting and am now bleeding (like a period). But it cant be my period as my level was 9 last week.

I just found out that I miscarried at 6w6d and am currently waiting for my body to recognize the loss. I really want to start TTC right away so I wish my body would speed up a little...

my June 9 hcg was around 6,600 and June 12 was 1,610. it seems like your hcg would be low enough now though to have your period start though, right? I'll get my next hcg test done on Friday June 19.

lilmiss hope your body figures it out soon! mine was a natural complete miscarriage and it was over before I even had my first checkup so was a bit of a shock. getting the bleeding over with is a bit of a relief though since it's a step towards moving on.

I believe this bleeding is the end of the miscarriage. Since my hcg was still 9 last week, i don't believe my period would be here so soon. You don't ovulate while you still have the hormone in your blood, so i have yet to ovulate. Also when i had my follow up ultrasound after the misoprostol there was still tissue that didnt pass, so that is reason i am doing weekly hcg's to follow them till zero. But the midwife last week figured 9 was low enough and all should be in the clear to assume it would be zero this week. We will be trying early aug...vacation planned next week. This is my second MC. My first was may 2013. I was 6 weeks and it passed on its own. I have since had a beautiful son who will be 1 tomorrow. We have never had a problem getting pregnant, just keeping it progressing. I will be using my ovulation sticks i got on amazon (50 for $9.99) over the next month to figure out/prevent pregnancy, till i get my first period. Then make it that much easier next month. I wish you all luck!

the female body can be so confusing! good luck!!

I'm waiting. On CD6 now, cycles are 33-35 days, then I ovulate CD21 (or later), but my OB is letting me try clomid or femera next cycle, so hopefully I O sooner and better and get our sticky. I am feeling hopeful (and in 2 mins I will feel doubtful, then hopefully again etc...) it is going to suck waiting out these next 4 weeks though. I'm with you.

sounds like my cycle! usually about 35 days with ovulation on cd21. my ob doesn't seem to care that I know when I ovulate and will still base my due date on first day of lmp. so I just lie so I get the right EDD!

Thankfully, time isn't going too slowly for me since I just moved and have vacation coming up! Will see what happens in a few weeks though...

TTDuck, we do have very similar cycles. Most people say that CD21 ovulation is still fine, but after 3 cps, I need to try something...

Would your cycle timing have anything to do with the chemicals?

I am waiting for d&c on Tuesday unless things start before then. I've heard you can ovulate after d&c and before next AF (but no BD for 2 weeks) I usually ov around cd20/21 anyway so that's no problem. I will test for hcg after the d&c to be sure it's gone down then start with the ovulation tests after two weeks. I hope there's some truth that you are super fertile after a mc. Age isn't on my side and I just want to ttc ASAP.

TTDuck, I think it potentially could, though it's debated a lot, my OB doesn't think so really, and PLENTY of people with irregular cycles conceive even later than that with healthy pregnancies. I don't think it will hurt to give it a boost though.

JJay, sorry for your loss. I never had a D&C so I do t know the recovery time, but I have been told to wait for a full cycle (with ovulation) to start trying, even with a chemical pregnancy. I think the concern is letting your body rid itself of possible excess tissue from the loss and giving it an extra cycle to renew itself. That being said, I didn't wait after my first or second chemical, bfn after the first, and I conceived after the second only to have another chemical, so I am going to wait out this cycle and avoid BD during ovulation.

Good luck to you!

Thanks TinyLynne and sorry for your losses too that is probably the right advice - I really should wait for AF. I know that it will be 5-6 weeks which seems ages at the moment!

I hope the clomid works for you. I always ov around day 20/21 with only a 10-11 day luteal phase and had two successful pregnancies prior to this one. X

JJay, doesn't it seem like forever??? I can't believe I'm actually going to take a break, but my cycles are 5 weeks too! 4 weeks to go, we will see how I hold out! I really think I'm going to wait this time though. Maybe God will surprise my with a short and quick cycle! (A girl can dream!) I think I'm going to ask for Letrozole (Femara) and pregnyl trigger on Posotive OPK and a booster. I have read a lot of good things about this combo, and I have to try it before spending $1000 on further treatments.

Good luck TinyLynne! If my d&c works out ok we won't be too far away in terms of dates - hope we can both get BFPs x

My dr. said I could try right away. My HcG was 12 so she wasn't that worried about not being able to. It's been two week and I'm showing a faint line on a HPT but I have no idea if it's leftover HcG or new HcG
