iv started givin my LO 7oz feeds yesterday and therefore thought he might want to go 4 hours...so he only had a total of 5 feeds yesterday where he will usually have 6.

He only finished 2 of the feeds and the rest had 5/6oz which im not worried about really but last night he woke twice! once at 3am then again at 5 am...both times we gave him his dummy and he went back to sleep and finally woke at 7.30am(usual wake up time)

i think it was sort of my fault :blush:and he really isnt ready to go 4hours as he still needs 6 feeds a day.

Do you ladies think he woke because i messed up the routine by letting him go 4 hours? silly mummy!:dohh:

I don't think so...doesn't sound like he was hungry in the night if he went back to sleep with his dummy. It's quite normal for babies 3-5 months to start waking in the night unfortunately, it is not necessarily due to hunger...

I thought it was a bit strange,he went straight back off to sleep as soon as he had his dummy, must just be a bit of a phase.

Think i will give feeds every 3 hours still though, dont think hes quite ready for 4 hours yet x

Caidan has been on only 5 bottles a day (8oz) for about a month now and did fine up until a few days ago when he started waking briefly in the night wanting his dummy. He goes straight back to sleep when he gets it so as the previous poster said, I think it's quite normal for them to start waking up because they subconsciously realise they dont have their dummy.
