I have a dilema, i want a 1st birthday party for LO but heres the problems i have

1. It's at the end of jan so outdoor is not really viable
2. Our house is too small to host it really
3. My family are not too far but hubbys are 200miles away, if we have it here they would have to stay in hotels which they will grumble at, i didn't want anyone staying after i had LO but nope they didn't care and all just stayed within a few weeks, i tried to say all this before she was born but afterwards i just didn't have the energy to fight :nope:
4. My family are notorious for not travelling anywhere so couldn't really have it near hubbys family either. :dohh:
4. If we hire somewhere we still have the issues of where people stay.

Hubby thinks we should just have it at home and people can stay in hotels, but i just know someone will want to stay and i just don't wnat them too
I wanted to have a naming ceremony for LO over summer but it was these reasons that stopped us then too.

could you have a joint namin ceremony and birthday party? this would get them both done at once so you dont have the problems twice.
i would just have the party at home and tell everybody that under no circumstances is anyone staying at your house. xx

I would just hire a local hall and send invites out and either not mention anyone staying, or add a note apologising that you cannot accommodate guests due to decorating or pretend you have someone else staying, or renting the room!!!!

How many spare bedrooms do you have, could you not get your best friend/close family to stay in it??!

book somewhere inside and invite everyone and if they want to come they will if not they wont we are having one 4 Ellie and we have family all over furthest drive is 10 hours away but we told them 2 month ago and they are actually making it

premier inn are doing rooms for £19 not great rooms but great price and means they can come maybe xx

hope you get it sorted
