Hi everyone, I lost my angel baby at 5w two days ago. I am really struggling to come to terms with the fact that I am not pregnant anymore, and we want to start TTC asap, we have heard that you are likely to fall pregnant soon after a miscarriage? Is that true? How soon can we start TTC (once this is all over)?:shrug:

Any advice or similar stories would be really appreciated, I feel very alone with this.

Big hugs! I also fell pregnant and had a miscarriage in the 5th week last cycle.
All those things you are feeling are completely normal.
My husband and I resumed having sex about 2 weeks after my miscarriage and are hoping it happens again quickly.
I,like you, really want to be pregnant again.

I'm sorry for both your losses. I had a MC at 5 weeks in July.

I had read and a doctor had told me I'd be more fertile after a MC. I ended up having a cycle about a week longer than the previous. We waited two weeks from the MC to start BDing again. I didn't get pregnant.

We had our appointment with the fertility specialist and it turns out I'm ovulating pretty rarely. So I start Clomid next cycle.

Hopefully for both of you the more fertile after a MC thought is true!

:hugs: I'm sorry. I miscarried 2 weeks ago and my doctor told me we could start TTC again after I've had a period. And she said there's some studies now saying you're more fertile within the first 6 months after a mc. I hope it happens soon for all of us :hugs:

I'm in exactly the same boat as you dragonfly. I had a loss at 5+3 (started spotting on the evening of 5+2) and I'm now just waiting to stop bleeding. I actually haven't had the loss confirmed yet, I have to get my second blood test on Sunday then I'll hear the news on Monday. But it's so unlikely to be good news I've just decided to accept it and move forward. I'm actually planning on trying right away, as soon as my bleeding stops we will start going for every other day. Really hoping to get my sticky baby soon!

I'm sorry you have to wait so long MissYogi. I miscarried over a weekend and it felt eternal. I understand preparing yourself even if you won't know for certain until Monday. When my spotting first turned red and I felt like my pregnancy was gone I just knew it was over even though my OB kept saying it's possible it's just a bleed.

At this point it is definitely gone. The tiny sliver of a chance is enough to make me not go and down a bottle of wine but I'm sure it's gone because my temp is low, my breasts are not sore at all, absolutely no nausea, it's just gone. Even the midwife said ya it looks like a miscarriage.

I've been trying to find the studies that say you are possibly more fertile after a MC but all I can find is that couples who conceive less than 6 months after a MC tend to have lower rates of a repeat MC. Does anybody know where I can find the studies about increased fertility? I kind of want to print them off and tape them all over the house to boost my positivity and to remember that there is still hope.

:hugs: MissYogi. I haven't read studies on being more fertile, but my OB suggested it when I asked her when we could try again so I'm hanging onto that.

I had a loss August 5 at 4w6d.. My first ever bfp. We started trying two weeks after and my first AF came Friday Sept 9. My step dad who's a gyno told me to not stress and not think about it this month and that increased fertility is common in the first six months after a MC. Hoping we get pregnant again asap.
