You did right to say something! It could have been far worse than it actually was. If the children had said sorry it would have been different. Some people have no manners!

Given that I have been ferociously protective of my belly from day 1, covering it in all public places from fear an idiot will not notice and run into me, I think your reaction was not just justified, but even quite mild.

I would have screamed my lungs off to both the kid and the mother, mentioning of course my pregnancy, and get the shop manager to kick them out.

I do understand your fear of things getting worse though. My husband's like that. Ultra-protective of me, and even more of our LO at the mo. He'd have eaten them alive haha. And I suppose you end up shaking at the very end, don't you?

DH and I were out shopping yesterday at a huge outlet mall. At an adidas store, there were about 3 or 4 kids RUNNING around and i mean full speed ahead, grabbing soccer balls and random items while chasing each other. The store was crowded with shoppers. I was looking at a shirt for hubby minding my own business standing still and this one kid slams into my belly hitting it hard with his shoulder right where my mini baby bump is and doesn't even apologize and actually looked at me like I was in his way. I was already in lower back pain beforehand so I told him to stop running and that a store isn't a playground. Another shopper even said "yeah, watch your kids lady" His mom even scowled at me Was I wrong????

On the contrary, I would have said a LOT more! I cannot stand bratty kids and their lazy mothers. I would have given her what for!

Definitely in the right to say something, I would have probably flipped out on the kid and the mum lol people should control their kids especially in places like that, surely they realise that everyone is trying to go about their business without the extra stress of unruly children running around. x
