Washing changing bags??

Hi, can anyone help? (sorry if in wrong section!) I have a mamas & papas black messenger type changing bag and it has got quite stained inside due to spillage etc!! It states on the wash label sponge clean only but I don't think it will come clean like that. Does anyone know if you can put them in the washing machine?? I don't really use it anymore and don't like it anyway but maybe could sell it or give to a friend?

I have a black messenger bag from Mothercare, & a white kipling changing bag & I wash both in the washing machine using cold water xx

I have a Baba bing one and I throw it in the wash..its fine and comes up lovely..
